Small COVID-19 Outbreak Affecting John C. Fremont Hospital - Published Sept 11, 2024Mariposa County Health Alert September 11, 2024 – Mariposa County Health & Human Services officials announce that Mariposa County Public Health has been alerted to an outbreak of COVID-19 affecting John C. Fremont, this outbreak is small, however masking will be required for individuals visiting the hospital campus or clinics. We are actively working with our partners at John C. Fremont to mitigate the outbreak and continue service to our community. COVID-19 is contagious and can pose significant risks to individuals who are immunocompromised, older adults or those who have other existing conditions. Symptoms of COVID-19 may include: Fever or chills Cough Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Sore throat Congestion or runny nose New loss of taste or smell Fatigue Muscle or body aches Headache Nausea or vomiting Symptoms may vary dependent on variant and immunization status.
