Paris: Palmisano 'I had covid, I paid for it in the end'
Stano 'gave his all in the relay, that's what counts for us'
had covid, but we didn't let it leak out and I was always monitored.
Today I still felt better than the race on August 1st, but in the end I paid the price.
However, I gave it my all and I'm happy". This is what Antonella Palmisano said at the end of the mixed walking relay, a debut event in the Olympic Games program, run in tandem with Massimo Stano and finished in sixth place. "This event is beautiful, unfortunately my physical condition wasn't good, arriving in good shape we could have had fun", added the Italian to Rai microphones.
Stano has a different opinion, according to whom the mixed relay "is a strange race, I don't like it very much because it's a bit of a lottery, even if it creates more of a team". "Today my ankle wasn't bothering me but I was scared, then the doctors reassured me and in my second leg I pushed until the end - explained the walker, recalling the problem that affected his season -. However, we don't care about the position, we gave our all and that's what matters.
Now that we've finished it, it's a great thing", he concluded.
